A Henna Dragon
A Henna Dragon
One of my daughters got her hands on a henna kit and decided to design her own dragon. No tracing, no reference, no help from me or her mom. She just sat down and drew it freehand on her own arm, which I think takes a certain kind of confidence I didn't have at her age.
The longer I look at it the more I like it. You can see the wings stretching out, the body coiling down toward her wrist, little claws and tendrils curling off the edges. It's a real dragon, not a placeholder dragon. And she did it on the trickier of her two arms, which means she was working with her off hand. I would have given up halfway through.
Kids surprise you. You think you know what they're into and then they show you something like this. Going to have to keep an eye on what else she's got cooking.
